Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Airport is a domestic airport located approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the south of the city of Bima, the largest town on the island of Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The airport was previously known as Palibelo Airport, named after the district in which it is located. The name was later discontinued when the airport was renamed in honor of Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin, the last ruler of the Bima Sultanate and a national hero of Indonesia.
